In my view it was well overpriced would not stay again

Good location -staff was kind and helpful

The photos did not justify the stay - room was poor and nothing like the photos

However, we manage our comfort

Location is good

We paid for triple room but it's not enough space for triple room compare to other places. Due to down south we expected more seafood items for the meals. Our package is all inclusive but unfortunately it was not happened due to national day (government rules) but tourist hotels could have some sought of procedures to avoid these kind of rules.

Good tourist hotel

Hotel amenities, staff, location, facilities.

A/C in rooms cannot be turned off, no blankets or covers available when the room gets too cold. Restaurant food was good but somewhat lacking in variety compared to prior stays at the same hotel.

Great Hospitality and great staff!!

One of our best visits this time during pre Christmas and the stay was wonderful. The F&B manager Gerad and his team was fantastic and they really represented what Sri Lanka is well known for- great hospitality (To name a few Amandha, Sampath etc)!! Kudos to his team. The place was nice and the vibe was really good. Would definitely visit again.

What was the highlight of Citrus Hikkaduwa

Very hospitable place and great for family and kids

Great location. About 10-15 min from the highway and right on the beachfront. The swimming pool was sometimes crowded, but still enjoyable. The staff were great, especially Mr. Gerard. We are vegetarians and the dinner menu had limited veg items, especially for Indian palette. Mr Gerard went out of the way and prepared additional dishes for us (veg pulao) and our kids (pasta). We tried most of the veg items on the buffet and it was great. Everyone was very friendly and hospitable. The beach was clean and beautiful and my kids had a really nice time.

I had booked for 2 adults plus 2 kids. Booking.com had showed me that the room will have 2 beds. But in reality it only had one queen bed. So we had to get an extra bed and were charged around $20. Perhaps better coordination needed between hotel and booking.com

I liked how the staff was friendly and helpful. Location wise it was amazing right near the beach and we were able to see alot of sea creatures. Room service was amazing.

Superior room for 3 people was congested but they provided us different rooms. The pictures online and the actual place was different in a sense of it looked photoshopped. The food can definitely improve, variety wise as well as flavor.

Amazing view, easy location, overall like the place

Easy locations. Staff is really friendly and helpful, sea view is amazing and peaceful. Food is okay, big and clean dining area, We enjoyed the Relaxing evening environment and my kids were safe in the beach and in the hotel. We all enjoyed the big pool, overall it’s a local business and we like their service and the place.

I was little surprised when I entered the room because it was different than the pictures in the web. I think Old and cheap looking room. Sea view is amazing but the windows are very old and dirty to see outside. I have booked the deluxe room so I was expecting bit more luxury experience. Whatever the amount we paid including vat was not meet my expectations and I wish I could use those money for somewhere else. If anyone else need to book this hotel I think it’s better to call them directly or use their web page directly because it’s cheaper in that way and value for money in that way, do not book through the 3rd party websites like booking.Com because I have paid nearly double amount without knowing it.

Nice clean rooms, with good beds and clean pool. Spacious hotel with great breakfast buffet. Made breakfast package for early check out. Nearby turtle beach

Very good and relaxing.

Room is good and reasonbly comfortable. Excellent view of the sea from the room. Food is good. Very helpful staff. Had a relaxing time. Beach is nice and clean and only a few steps away from the hotel.

Satisfactory

Location is prime and the hotel is clean, staff were very friendly and cordial. However staff were few in number, any request took long to be delivered. Drivers accommodation was not clean! No option for vegetation which was sad, we had to keep requesting chef to get us vegetation food! Special thanks to Dhanesh,dhamith, dumuthu!
